Job Summary: We are looking for a News Writer who can create and rewrite news articles for our news portal. The ideal candidate should be proficient in Hindi, English, and the local language of Jharsuguda (Odia). This is a work-from-home role, but the candidate must be based in Jharsuguda, as they will be required to visit the office 1-3 times a week.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Research, write, and publish news articles on various topics, ensuring accuracy and credibility.
  • Rewrite and update existing news content to maintain relevance and engagement.
  • Ensure news articles follow SEO best practices for better online visibility.
  • Source and verify information from reliable news agencies, government portals, and press releases.
  • Write in Hindi, English, and Odia, catering to a diverse audience.
  • Stay updated with local, national, and international news trends.
  • Work with editors and the digital team to enhance content quality.

Job Requirement

  • Fluency in Hindi, English, and Odia (reading, writing, and speaking).
  • 1+ years of experience in news writing, journalism, or content creation.
  • Ability to rewrite news articles while maintaining authenticity.
  • Strong research skills to verify facts and sources.
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms like WordPress is a plus.
  • Knowledge of basic SEO principles for content optimization.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in digital news writing, blogging, or content publishing.
  • Knowledge of social media trends and digital news distribution.
  • Experience in photo and video editing is a plus.
